Stacy Hinz has played many roles throughout her collegiate career. One that is appreciated most is her ability to come off the bench and provide priceless statistics. She is a dependable and steady player and there is no doubt that when the Falcon lineup needs a different look Hinz will be called upon. She is the daughter of Tom and Louise. She is majoring in elementary education.

Hillary Keene

Hillary Keene will become the first player in Falcon history to be named "libero." The "libero" is strictly a defensive and passing specialist whose substitution is not counted as regular substitutions. She is an exceptional athlete with a tremendous desire to succeed. Her work ethic and leadership brings the level of competition up and makes the players around her play harder and better. She is the daughter of Barb and Jeff Chiszar and Mike Keene. She is majoring in chemistry/pre-medicine.

Karen ZumMallen

Karen ZumMallen gained valuable experience during the 2001 season as a starter recording 324 kills and a season high 548 digs. The Falcons look for her to pick up where she left off last season, both offensively and defensively. Offensively, ZumMallen has work hard to become more proficient. Defensively, she has solid ball control skills that keep the opponent from scoring. She is the daughter of Mike and Brenda. She is majoring in accounting.

Kristin Brandt came a long way during the spring season. She is a good athlete and will be looked upon to step up her game and role into a starting position. She is a physically strong player and will help the Falcons as she gains more experience and confidence in her game. She is the daughter of Kevin Brandt and Deb Casurella. She is majoring in elementary education.

Jennifer Braun is an all-round athlete who has great savvy for the game. Braun has amazing ball control, which is a key component for rally scored games. She played in every match as a sophomore and look for her to pick up where she left off last season. She is the daughter of Bruce and Valerie. She is majoring in psychology.

Krystle Brune

Krystle Brune returns to the Falcon line up as the team’s top hitter collecting 382 kills during the 2001 season. Brune, who was named to the first All-WIAC team last year, is rebounding back from shoulder surgery that sidelined her during the off-season. Her game is very solid and if she stays healthy, will be on pace to enter the 1,000 kill club. She is the daughter of Ron and Kathy. She is majoring in health and human performance – Option 2 non-teaching.

Sarah Halverson is another solid volleyball player with great court sense. She thrives on competition and will be competing for an outside hitting position. She has proven herself the past two seasons as a defensive specialist, but has all the tools to play at the net. Halverson is a very smart hitter with a wide array of shots. She does whatever she needs to get the ball to the floor. She is the daughter of Jane Halverson. She is majoring in marketing communications.

Logan Kiesch

Logan Kiesch has great athletic ability, which has helped her settle into the collegiate game. A strong competitor, she came a long way throughout the off-season. If she continues on pace her playing time will be increased significantly and she will compete for an outside or rightside hitting position. She is the daughter of Manfred and Carol. Kiesch is majoring in elementary education.

Amy Lundberg returns to the Falcon as one of the top setters. In 2001 the Falcons changed their offensive scheme to adapt to the rally scoring system. The change proved to be successful as the Falcons place 3rd in the WIAC. Lundberg led the setting corps with 6.30 assists per game. She will be a year stronger and the Falcons look for her to take another step this season. She is the daughter of Dave and Sue. She is majoring in communicative disorders.

Erin Oberholtzer helped the Falcons during the 2001 season sparingly, but look for her situation to increase for the 2002 season. A setter by trade, she has worked hard during the off-season to learn the ropes as a defensive specialist. Oberholtzer loves the game of volleyball and her instincts for the game are valuable. She is the daughter of Carl and Carol. She is majoring in health and human performance – Option 1 K-12 teaching.

Molly Schock

Molly Schock shared the setting duties in 2001 as the Falcons became accustomed to their new 6-2 offensive scheme. Schock accepted the challenge of setting for a top ranked collegiate team and it paid great dividends. She is a great leader and understands her role as a leader on and off the court. With her guidance and experience look for the Falcons to develop even further this season. She is the daughter of Ron and Debbie. She is majoring in health and human performance – Option 1 K-12 physical education.

Melissa Tvrdik

Melissa Tvrdik will be not only one of the Falcons biggest threats offensively; her presence on the court from a leadership standpoint will be a plus. Her work ethic in practice is going to bring the younger players up another level, just by being able to watch and play against her. Every time Tvrdik, who was given honorable mention to the 2001 All-WIAC team, steps into the gym, whether for practice or a match, she’s giving 110 percent. That attitude helped the Falcons secure on of the top three spots in the WIAC standings. She is the daughter of Douglas and Theresa. She is majoring in psychology.

Gina Anderson

Gina Anderson has great athletic ability, which has helped her adapt to the collegiate game. A fierce competitor, she has come a long way in her first season. Playing every day against the veteran Falcon middles will definitely help her transition. Look for her to add to the depth of the Falcon middle attack. She is the daughter of David and Susan. Anderson is majoring in business.

Sarah Garfield is another good athlete with a good work ethic, and when you put those together she’s going to be a good player. She has worked hard and improved in all aspects of her game. The Falcons look for her to come into her own throughout the 2002 season. Garfield will add depth to the middle hitting position. She is the daughter of Rick and Linda. She is majoring in elementary education.

Nina Petersen will be a year stronger, a year smarter and that can only help the Falcon attack. A two-sport athlete (track & field) Petersen came a long way in the spring. A dominating presence at the net, the Falcons will look to the lefty to develop into a primary offensive weapon. It will be important to incorporate her into the offense and get her the ball as much as possible. She is the daughter of Jeff and Kay. Petersen is majoring in pre-medicine.

Kara Coughlin is a hard-working competitor who will develop into a reliable defensive specialist for the Falcons. She is a great addition to the team, both from a practice and game standpoint, because of her natural instincts for the game, athleticism and desire. She is the daughter of Rick and Colleen. Coughlin is majoring in secondary education.


Shannon Goranowski

Shannon Goranowski is a great athlete. She has the potential to develop into a dominant middle hitter for the Falcons. Look for her to come in and see some quality time as she learns the fast transition of the collegiate game. She will be challenging for one of the middle hitting positions. She is the daughter of Larry and Marla. Goranowski is majoring in accounting.

Raegan Irish is a solid setter who has a great deal of setting experience. Like most first year setters she will need some additional time to develop into a dominant player for the Falcons. She is the daughter of Lavern and Janice. Irish is majoring in biology.

Amy Mettling has great instincts for the game. She is a very good all round athlete. She will continue to get better every time she touches the ball. She is the daughter of Jim and Terry. Mettling is undecided on a major field of study.

Kiah Sagami is a nice surprise and addition for the Falcons. Kiah is a good athlete with a strong work ethic and has come in and picked up skills and techniques quickly.
