April 28, 2003

Track
Katie Mitchell (Jr., Easton, Md.)
had two strong races at the Macalester Invitational held Saturday. She won the 200 in 25.67 and placed second in the 400 in 60.02.

Field
Jen Leis (Jr., Alma Center, Wis. Lincoln HS) improved her season-best effort in the hammer throw by three meters at the Macalester Invitational held Saturday. She finished second with a toss of 49.57-meters. It is the fourth best throw in the WIAC and places her in the top 10 in the nation in the event. She also placed third in the discus with a 41.41-meter throw and fifth in the shot put with a toss of 11.47-meters.



April 21, 2003

Track
Val Skorjanec (Jr., Gilbert, Minn. Masabi East HS)
had a great race for the Falcons as a member of the 4x100 relay team at the St. Olaf Invitational held Friday. "She had an outstanding anchor leg in the relay and ran down several other anchors in the race," Coach Don Glover said. The team placed ninth in 52.98.

Field
Jen Leis (Jr., Alma Center, Wis. Lincoln HS) improved her provional qualifying mark in the hammer throw on Friday at the St. Olaf Invitational. She threw the hammer 151-7 and placed fourth. "Jen's throw on Saturday put her in the top 20 in the nation," Falcon Coach Don Glover said.




April 14, 2003

Track
Katie Mitchell (Jr., Easton, Md.)
had two strong races at the St. Thomas Invitational. She placed fourth in the 100 in 12.83 and fourth in the 200 in 26.71.

Field
Jill Crandall (Fr., Roseville, Minn.) provisionally qualified for the NCAA Div. III Meet in the high jump at the St. Thomas Invitational. She jumped 5-5 and placed second overall.





Feb. 24, 2003

Track
Katie Mitchell (Jr., Easton, Md.)
had two solid runs in the Blue Devil Invitational held Friday in Menomonie. She won the 200 in 26.46, a personal best time. She also placed third in the 55 in 7.55.

Field
Joy Hemmesch (So., Paynesville, Minn.) tied her season best effort in the pole vault at the Blue Devil Invitational held Friday in Menomonie. She leaped 9-1 and placed fourth overall.






Feb. 17, 2003

Track
Lisa Traxler (Sr., Menomonie, Wis.)
placed third in the 800 at the Falcon Invitational held Saturday at the Knowles Building. She covered the distance in 2:29.47.

Field
Steph Dura (So., Peshtigo, Wis.) took the top spot in the shot put at the Falcon Invitational held Saturday at the Knowles Building. She threw the shot 41-0 1/2 to win the event.

 

 

 

 

Feb. 10, 2003

Track
Katrina Spears (So., Shell Lake, Wis.) ran some outstanding races for the Falcons at the Bowlus Invitational on Saturday. She had a personal best time of 27.78 in the 200 and placed 10th. She also had a 1:02 lead off leg for the Falcon 4x400 relay team that placed fourth.

Field
Sarah Thull (Sr., Weyerhaeuser, Wis.) performed well in two field events for the Falcons at the Bowlus Invitational on Saturday. She placed third in the long jump with a leap of 15-9 and she finished fifth in the high jump with a leap of 4-10 1/2.

had two strong races at the Stout Invitational on Saturday. She finished fifth in the 55 in 7.56 and placed second in the 200 in 26.87. "Katie has improved her times each week in both events," Falcon Coach Don Glover said.

Field
Jen Leis (Jr., Alma Center, Wis. Lincoln HS) improved her NCAA provisional qualifying mark in the weight throw at the Stout Invitational on Saturday. She placed third in the event with a toss of 48-6 1/4.

Jen Leis (Jr., Alma Center, Wis. Lincoln HS)
provisionally qualified for the NCAA Div. III National meet in the weight throw with a toss of 13.27-meters Saturday in the Falcon Open. She placed first in the event.
