Falcon Swimmers of the Week

Jan. 29, 2001

Ali York (Jr Antioch, Ill. Conestoga Valley HS) had a lifetime best swim in the 1,000 freestyle on Friday finishing in 12:02.53 and placing first. On Saturday she came back with a season-best time in the 500 freestyle.

Brandon VanVleet (Fr, Grandy, Minn., Cambridge-Isanti HS) had two lifetime bests over the weekend. He had a time of 1:53.57 in the 200 freestyle on Friday and placed first. Saturday he had an unshaved time of 50.85 in the 100 free and he placed second.






Jan. 22, 2001

Rae Ann Kreier (5-4, Fr, Amery, Wis.) swam two lifetime bests in the team's meet against Eau Claire. In the 100 breaststroke she finished in 1:26.11 and placed fourth. Her time was three seconds faster than her previous best. She also had a lifetime-best time in her 50 breaststroke split of the 200 medley relay.

Bryant Hardy (5-9, Jr, Prior Lake, Minn. ACC) had three season-best times in the meet against Eau Claire. He finished in 4:46.78 in the 400 IM and placed third. He had a time of 1:07.81 in the 100 breaststroke and placed third. He also had a season-best time in his 50 breaststroke split of the 200 medley relay. The Falcons placed second in 1:49.08.

 

 

Dec. 11, 2000

Mia Erickson (Jr., Wyoming, Minn. Forest Lake HS) had two lifetime best swims against Luther. In the 100 back she finished in first place in 1:06.1 and in the 200 IM she finished second in 2:25.77.

Jessica Plumley (Sr., Taylors Falls, Minn. Chisago Lakes HS) wonthe 50 free in 25.98, and had a season-best time of 57.07 in the 100 free to win that event. She also swam with the 200 free relay team that placed first in 1:45.37.

Katey Schneider (Fr., Inver Grove Heights, Minn. Simley HS) had a lifetime best time of 1:03.31 to place first in the 100 fly. She had a season best time of 2:05.26 in the 200 free to win that race. She also had a season best split in her leg of the 200 free relay that won in 1:45.37.

Amber Wuollet (Fr., Shakopee, Minn.) had a lifetime best time of 11:30.43 in the 1,000 free which she won. She also had a season best time of 5:39.4 in the 500 free which she also won.

Brandon VanVleet (Fr., Grandy, Minn. Cambridge-Isanti HS) had a lifetime best time of 1:53.89 in the 200 free and placed second against Luther. "His time was a lifetime best by over three seconds," Coach Doug Naylor said. He also won the 100 fly in 59.15.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Dec. 4, 2000

Amber Wuollet (Fr., Shakopee, Minn.) won the 1,650 free event at the Titan Invitational held last weekend. She swam a 19:16.92 to win the event in a season-best time. She had lifetime best times in the 200 fly in 2:29.78 and a season-best time in the 500 free in 5:41.19. She also had season-best times in her splits in the two relay events she swam.

Jon Jarvis (Fr., Hastings, Minn.) swam season-best times in every event at the Titan Invitational last weekend. He had a time of 23.25 in the 50 free, a 1:02.94 in the 100 back and a 52.16 in the 100 free. He also had season-best splits in the three relay events he swam.

 

 

 

Nov. 13, 2000

Kim Hart (So., Bloomington, Minn. Kennedy HS) had three season-best times in the Falcon win over Hamline. She swan a 2:36.3 in the 200 fly and placed third. She had a time of 1:10.6 in the 100 fly and placed second. She also had a season-best time in her 100-breaststroke split in the medley relay. The team won the race in 4:26.3.

Jon Jarvis (Fr., Hastings, Minn.) had two season-best times against Hamline. He swan a 52.88 and finished second in the 100 free and he had a 1:04.43 in the 100 back and placed first.

 

 

 

Oct. 30, 2000

Mia Erickson (Jr., Wyoming, Minn. Forest Lake HS) swam season-best times in 1650 free, the 200 back and the 400 IM. She finished in 20:13.18 in the 1,650, 2:23.99 in the 200 back and 5:12.33 in the 400 IM. "Mia's time in the 200 back was outstanding and just one second off her lifetime best," Coach Doug Naylor said.

Brandon VanVleet (Fr., Grandy, Minn. Cambridge-Isanti HS) had a season-best time in the 100 free and finished in 51.43. He won the 50 free in 23.03. "Brandon also had two great legs in the 200 medley and 400 free relays," Coach Doug Naylor said.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Oct. 23, 2000

Katey Schneider (Fr., Inver Grove Heights, Minn. Simley HS) had a lifetime best time of 1:03.55 in the 100 fly against Oshkosh. She won the race. She also won the 200 free in 2:06.57. She was also a member of the 200 free relay team that won in 1:46.29. At the Eau Claire Relays, she swam on the 4x100 fly, the 4x200 free, the 8x50 medley and the 4x100 free relay teams. "Katey swam very well on Saturday also," Coach Doug Naylor said.

Adam Larson (Fr., International Falls, Minn.) had a busy weekend including helping the Falcons to a dual meet win over UW-Oshkosh. In that meet he won the 200 IM in 2:12.1 and was second in the 100 fly in 59.91. He was also a member of the 200 free relay team that won in 1:34.32. At the Eau Claire Relays he swam in the 4x100 fly, the 4x25 free, the 4x200 free, the 8x50 medley, the 4x100 free and the 4x50 free relays. "Adam had solid swims in all the races at Eau Claire," Coach Doug Naylor said.

 

 

 

 

Oct. 16, 2000

Kim Hart (So., Bloomington, Minn. Kennedy HS) had an outstanding meet at the Mankato Pentathlon on Saturday. She won the 50 breaststroke in 34.10. "All of Kim's times in her five swims were better than her best times from last year. Her breaststroke times was two seconds faster. She had a great meet," Coach Doug Naylor said.

Bryant Hardy (Jr., Prior Lake, Minn. ACC) had some excellent early-season times at the Mankato Pentathlon. "Bryant had some solid swims in every race," Coach Doug Naylor said.
