Feb. 12, 2001 Forward Elisha Best (5-5, Fr, Duluth, Minn. East HS) helped the Falcons to two NCHA wins against UW-Eau Claire last weekend. In Friday's 9-2 win she had a goal and two assists and in Saturday's 9-0 win she finished with two goals and one assist. "She picked it up, was skating, moving her feet better than she has all year," Coach Joe Cranston said.
Feb. 5, 2001 Forward Mandy Stokes (5-5, Jr, Amery, Wis.) helped the Falcons to two NCHA wins last weekend over Lake Forest (4-2, 6-0). She scored one goal in the team's 4-2 win on Friday and came back with a pair of goals in Saturday's 6-0 win.
Jan. 22, 2001 Defenseman Hattie Hoff (Sr., Red Wing, Minn.) scored two power-play goals in the team's 6-2 win over St. Benedict. She also played two solid games at UW-Superior over the weekend.
Dec. 18, 2000 Defenseman Lindsy Carlson (Fr., 5-4, Two Harbors, Minn. Duluth East HS) helped the Falcons to a win and a tie against St. Catherine over the weekend. In Saturday's game she scored one goal and had an assist and on Sunday she scored both of the team's goals.
Dec. 11, 2000 Forward Mandy Stokes (Jr., Amery, Wis.) helped the Falcons win two of three games last week. She scored three goals and had one assist in the team's weekend sweep of Eau Claire. She scored two goals and had one assist on Friday and came back with a goal on Saturday. "She plays just as hard defensively as she does offensively. Once everybody does that, we'll be a complete hockey team," Coach Joe Cranston said.
Dec. 4, 2000 Defenseman Beth Betker (Fr., Corcoran, Minn.) helped the Falcons to two wins at Lake Forest last weekend. She scored two goals and had one assist. "Beth just never gets beat," Coach Joe Cranston said. "She gives 100 percent every shift. She was the most dominant player this weekend."
Nov. 20, 2000 Forward Lindsy Carlson (Fr., Two Harbors, Minn. Duluth East HS) helped lead the Falcons to two wins last weekend. She scored the three-goal hat trick and added two assists on Friday in the team's 9-2 win and came back Saturday with a goal and three assists in the team's 6-2 win. "She sees the ice well and sets up people," coach Joe Cranston said.
Nov. 6, 2000 Defenseman Lindsy Carlson (Two Harbors, Minn. Duluth East HS) scored the team's first goal of the season in the win over St. Mary's on Friday. She also picked up an assist on the team's third goal. "All five of our defensemen played well, but Lindsy scored the first goal of the year on power-play and that set the tone for the game," Coach Joe Cranston said. "And then she could have scored the empty-net goal, but dished it off to a teammate who scored. That says a lot about our whole team. She played great defensively all weekend long."
