Pitcher
Amy Brooke (Sr., Spring Valley, Wis.) had three good outings on
the mound for the Falcons and helped the team to a perfect 6-0 week in
WIAC games. Brooke pitched 19 1/3 innings and allowed 26 hits. She allowed
eight runs, seven were earned. She walked only two and struck out 18.
She earned wins over Superior (5-1), Platteville (7-2) and Stevens Point
(8-6). She also batted in the No. 5 spot in the lineup and finished 10-17
at the plate for a .588 average. She had two RBIs and had two doubles.
Position Player
Shortstop Amanda Moxon (Sr., New Richland, Minn. New Richland-Harland-Ellendale-Geneva
HS) helped lead the Falcons to a perfect 6-0 week in WIAC games last
week. She sparked the Falcon hitting attack going 9-23 at the plate for
a .391 average. She scored four runs and led the team with 12 RBIs. She
had at least one RBI in every game. She struck out twice. She had three
doubles and a three-run homer against Oshkosh in a 10-0 win. She had one
error in 20 chances in the field for a .950 fielding percentage for the
week.

Pitcher
Devanie Bigalk (So., White Bear Lake, Minn.) picked up two WIAC
wins last week. She beat UW-Stout, 3-0 and UW-La Crosse, 4-1. Against
Stout she allowed only three hits and no runs. She struck out three. Against
La Crosse she allowed one earned run on five hits. She struck out two.
In 14 innings pitched she didn't allow a walk and only eight hits and
one earned run.
Position Player
Catcher Anna Poulter (Jr., Colfax, Iowa Colfax-Mingo HS) played
four strong games for the Falcons. UWRF finished 2-2 in the week in four
WIAC games. Poulter finished 6-13 at the plate for a .461 average in the
games. One of her hits was a triple against Stout. She scored two runs.
In the field she had 17 putouts and four assists with no errors. She stole
four bases in five attempts.

Pitcher
Amy Brooke (Sr., Spring Valley, Wis.) pitched well against Eau
Claire, allowing only two earned runs and two walks while striking out
eight in a 2-0 loss. At the WIAC Cluster Tourney, she pitched all seven
innings in a 1-0 win over Whitewater. She allowed just two hits. She walked
one and struck out six. In a 2-1 win over Oshkosh, she worked eight innings
and allowed just three hits and no earned runs. She walked two and struck
out five. For the week she pitched 23 2/3 innings and allowed just 11
hits. She allowed three runs, two were earned and had a 0.76 ERA for the
week. She walked five and struck out 20. She finished with a 2-1 record.
Position Player
Center fielder Abby Keene (Jr., Hastings, Minn.) was 6-13 for the
week, going 2-2 and 2-3 against Eau Claire. She was 2-9 at the WIAC Cluster
Tournament, with four sacrifice bunts and two walks. Keene finished her
week with a single, stolen base and finally a triple off of Stevens Point
pitcher Karen Guckenberger, the first triple given up by Guckenberger
in 514 career innings.

Pitcher
Amy Brooke (Sr., Spring Valley, Wis.) pitched two strong games
for the Falcons last week. In a 3-1 win over William Penn she worked all
seven innings and allowed five hits. She allowed one earned run in the
3-1 Falcon win. She walked two and struck out four. In the two games,
she worked 15 innings and allowed 20 hits. She allowed only two runs,
both were earned. She struck out 12 and walked only three. In a 1-0 loss
to Concordia-St. Paul she allowed just five hits and one earned run in
eight innings. She struck out eight and walked only one. She was named
to the Grinnell All-Tourney team.
Position Player

of the team's top hitters in four games last week. Poulter finished 3-10
at the plate with two runs scored. She had one RBI. She walked three times.
In the field she had 18 put outs and one assist with no errors. She also
stole four bases in five attempts. She was named to the Grinnell All-Tourney
team.

Pitcher
Leah Vanderploeg (So., Cable, Wis. Drummond HS) had three solid
outings for the Falcons last week as the team finished with a 4-2 record
in six games. She started two games and pitched 14 1/3 innings allowing
17 hits. She allowed seven runs; five were earned. She walked five and
struck out 11. She picked up a win in the team's 4-3 win against Augsburg
when she worked four innings. She allowed seven hits, four runs and three
were earned. She walked only one and struck out six. She also picked up
a win in relief in the team's 3-2 win at Winona. She worked 3 2/3 innings
and allowed two hits and no runs. She walked one and struck out two.
Position Player
Center fielder Abby Keene (Jr., Hastings, Minn.) gave the Falcons
several big hits in the team's six games. Overall she finished 6-13 at
the plate for a .461 average. She had two doubles and a triple. She scored
six runs, stole four bases and had four RBIs. She had a .600 (9-15) on-base
percentage. She had the game-winning hit in the team's 4-3 win over Augsburg,
a double in the seventh inning.

Amy Brooke (Sr., Spring Valley, Wis.) pitched in five of the team's
six games played at the Rebel Spring Games held in Kissimee, Fla. Brooke
worked 21 innings and finished with a 1-3 record. She allowed 21 hits,
nine runs, but only four were earned. She had a 1.33 ERA in the games.
She walked 12 and struck out 15. She had one wild pitch.
Position Player
Catcher Anna Poulter (Jr., Colfax, Iowa Colfax-Mingo HS) was the
team's top hitter at the Rebel Spring Games held in Kissimee, Fla. She
was 7-19 at the plate for a .368 average in six games. She scored two
runs and had one RBI from the leadoff spot in the batter order. She stole
six bases and was caught stealing only twice. She was perfect in the field
with 30 putouts and seven assists and no errors.
