Becky Ahlbrecht Becky Ahlbrecht is a transfer from the UW-Platteville and the University of North Dakota. She is majoring in health & human performance, with options in K-12 physical education and health education. Prior to transferring to UWRF, Ahlbrecht played one year of college basketball and three years of college softball. She will definitely add experience to the infield as she has been honored as 1998 and 2000 All-WIAC first team; 1999 WIAC Honorable Mention; 1998, 1999, 2000 WIAC East Division Athlete of the Week; 2000 WIAC East Division Co-Player of the Year; and 2000 Third Team All Region. Beckys hobbies include skiing, whitewater rafting, fishing, jetskiing, golfing, and being involved with sports through coaching and umpiring. She would like to teach and coach at the high school level and eventually become a college softball or soccer coach. She is the daughter of John and Betty Ahlbrecht . Lindsey Becker As a junior, Lindsey Becker will be a leader behind
the plate or at third base. Her personal goals are to improve her offensive
game, to have fun, to help the team reach a goal of a successful season,
and to support the team through good and trying times, whether on the
bench or on the field. Lindsey likes to spend time in the outdoors hunting
or fishing, riding motorcycle with her family, collecting Calvin and Hobbes
comic books, and playing lots of pool. Ideally, Lindsey would like to
be a professional billiards player. However, if she has to get a "real
job" then she would like to work as a wildlife biologist for the DNR or
Fish and Wildlife Service. Lindsey is majoring in biology and conservation.

Amy Brooke As a first year player during the 2000 season, Amy Brooke
was an immediate force. In 151 innings, she had a 1.57 ERA with 85 strikeouts.
Her hard work was rewarded by being named to the All-WIAC team and earning
All-American Scholar-Athlete honors. Amy's team goal is for everyone to
work together and to become conference champions. Personally, she wants
to gain more confidence in some of her pitches. She is an animal science
major with a minor in farm management. Her hobbies include spending time
with friends and family, taking care of her animals, and reading. Amy's

Amanda Jo Decker After taking fall semester "off" and enlisting in the National
Guard, Amanda Jo Decker is ready for another softball season to begin.
AJDıs goal for the team is to "Win it all. This team is made up of so
much talent." Her individual goal is to become a more well-rounded player,
and to do things she never thought possible. AJDıs hobbies include anything
"outdoorsy" (with an emphasis on fishing with her Dad), drinking coffee
(my Dad got me into that too), quilting, and wishing she had more time
in college to do so. Her personal goal for the future is to work in the
fitness and health club industry and eventually becoming a personal strength
and conditioning coach for athletes. She is majoring in health and human
performance with a minor in outdoor education. She is the daughter of
Colleen Gallagher and Dennis and Cindy Decker. Her favorite quote: "Work

Angie Garin After surgery on her elbow and a medical redshirt during
her sophomore season, Angie Garin is ready to prove herself in centerfield.
Her speed, quickness, and strong arm will definitely be assets to the
team. Her individual goal is to play to the best of her ability and improve
throughout the season. Her team goal is to win the conference championship.
Her major is business administration with a minor in German and she hopes
to, "find a career I enjoy and be successful." Her hobbies include rollerblading
and shopping. Angie is a dual-sport athlete and competes in the all-around
competition for the gymnastics team. She is the daughter of Pat and Mark
Garin.

Nicole
Harberts Sophomore Nikki Harberts is a two-sport athlete and also
plays with the UWRF women's basketball team. Her personal goal for softball
this season is to become a confident hitter and continue to be a stronger
player each day. She is majoring in biology/pre-medicine with minors in
chemistry and French. As a first-year student-athlete, Harberts was named
an All-American Scholar-Athlete. After graduation, Nikki plans to continue
on in medical school to become a pediatrician. Nikki is also a resident
assistant on campus. In her "free-time," Nikki enjoys being outdoors,
camping, boating, and playing all sports. She is the daughter of Paul

Amber Hedstrom Coming from Sartell, Minn., High School, Amber Hedstrom was named to the all-conference and all-region teams her junior and senior years of high school. Playing an aggressive thirdbase, Amberıs personal goals are to improve her offense and have fun. Her hobbies are running, playing any sport and being with friends and family. Her major is secondary education history and she is the daughter of Mark and Sharon Hedstrom. Abby Keene Abby Keene is the daughter of Dwight and Renee Keene. Abby graduated from Hastings High School in 2000 where she earned all-conference honorable mention and the most valuable offensive player award on her softball team during her senior year. This year, she hopes to improve her skills and help the team to a divisional and conference championship. Abby enjoys playing or watching pretty much any sport, hanging out with friends, and just having a good time. She is currently majoring in math education and minoring in coaching. Amanda Moxon Amanda Moxon's goal for this season is to recover 100 percent
from a broken arm suffered during the fall season. Her team goals for
the season consist of playing together as a team, everyone playing with
confidence, and for all team members to keep a positive attitude all season.
Moxon is majoring in health and human performance with minors in business
and coaching. She plans to go into sports management and to someday have
a wonderful job with the Timberwolves. In her free time, "Mox" enjoys
rollerblading, playing basketball and volleyball, and hanging out with
friends and family. Moxon is the daughter of Jeff and Michele Moxon. Favorite

Meghann Mulligan Redshirting her freshman year, the 2000 season was Meghannıs
first season of competition. Meghann immediately made her mark by being
named to the All-WIAC team, the Great Lakes Regional All-American team,
an All-American Scholar-Athlete, and the team's defensive player of the
year. Playing firstbase until she took a line drive and broke her finger,
Meghann committed only one error in 265 attempts and had the second highest
batting average on the team. Her personal goal for this season is to improve
on all aspects of the game and to be a leader. Her goal for the team is
that everyone is committed as a team and works hard. Meghannıs hobbies
include golf and rollerblading. She also competes with the tennis UWRF
tennis team. She wants to teach physical education and coach at the high
school level. She is majoring in health and human performance with a minor
in coaching. She is the daughter of Tom and Marge Mulligan. Favorite quote:

Trudy Natterstad Trudy Natterstad is in her third year at UWRF and is majoring
in business administration with a minor in German. Her goal for the season
is to have a fun, productive year, always giving 110 percent, and setting
a positive example. Last year, she earned All-American Scholar-Athlete
honors. She is the daughter of Bonnie and Gary Natterstad. Favorite Quote:

Cindy Ostertag Cindy Ostertag returns for her final season. From her first
season at UWRF, Cindy has been a leader on the teamboth offensively and
defensively. Cindy is a two-time All-Conference, two-time Regional All-American
selection, and three-time All-American Scholar-Athlete. This year, her
goal is to maintain a positive attitude and set a good example. She is
graduating in May with a degree in marketing communications. She is the
daughter of Ray Ostertag and Huey and Elaine Mortel. Favorite Quote: "Live

Clare Peterson Clare Peterson's goal for the season is to have fun and
do her best to help the team succeed. Her past awards include being a
1999 Player of the Week and being on the Academic Dean's List for two
semesters. A career goal of hers is to become a sixth grade English teacher.
She would also like to coach a high school athletic team. Her major is
English with a coaching minor. In her spare time she enjoys watching her
younger brother play basketball, going fishing with her grandpa, and reading
a good horror/fiction novel. She is the daughter of Bill and Judy Peterson.

Anna Poulter Anna Poulter is a graduate of Colfax-Mingo High School in Colfax, Iowa. Her parents are Bryan and Mary Poulter. Anna was a four-sport athlete in high school, earning varsity letters in swimming, basketball, track, and softball. As a catcher, she earned all-conference softball honors all four years and was team captain her senior year. At this time Anna's major is undecided, but she is leaning toward the field of education. Anna's goals for the season include working toward the stolen base record and improving her defensive game. Tanya Prochnow Tanya Prochnow graduated from Menomonie High School in 2000 where she was a three-year varsity softball starter at third base. She was named all-conference in her senior year, as well as the district player of the year. Her personal goals are to improve her batting average from this past fall season, as well as improve her fielding skills. Her team goal is to have at least a .700 record and to win the conference championship. Tanya is majoring in agriculture business. She enjoys downhill skiing, playing volleyball, softball, and hanging out with her friends. Her parents are Don and Barb Prochnow. Melissa Turbak Melissa Turbak comes to UWRF as a freshman from Roseville, Minn., Area High School. She was a two-sport athlete in high school playing softball and hockey. In softball, she was selected all-conference honorable mention in her senior year. As a junior, her hockey team won the state championship. Melissa's personal goal is to work hard and improve all parts of her game. Her team goal is to work together, play hard, and have fun. Her hobbies include being with friends and family, playing sports and having fun. Melissa's major is undecided at this time. She is the daughter of Craig and Mary Turbak. Emily Vogt Coming back for her second season, Emily Vogt's personal
goal is to improve her hitting and "always walk off the field knowing
Iıve played my best." Her goals for the team include winning the conference
championship and always playing as a team. Vogt is a marketing communications
major with minors in business administration and art. Her hobbies include
playing any type of sport, hanging out with friends and family, taking
pictures of Meghann Mulligan, shopping, and watching Temptation Island.
