Falcon Women's Cross Country Runner of the Week

Oct. 15, 2001

Sara Rudesill (Fr., River Falls, Wis.) had a solid race at the Neubauer Invitational held Saturday in La Crosse. She was the fifth Falcon to cross the finish line in a time of 21:17.8 over the 5,000-meter course. She placed 176th overall. "Sara has been our No. 5 runner all year long," Coach Don Glover said.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Oct. 8, 2001

Felice Birmingham, (Sr., Fish Creek, Wis.) placed 3rd for the team and 14th overall with a time of 11:59 at the 3,000-meter Midwest Challenge. "Felice is moving up the ladder, and this year she is coming on strong at the right time," said Falcon Coach Don Glover.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Oct. 1, 2001

Lisa Barnes (So., Manitowoc, Wis. Lincoln HS) improved her time by 1:36 from last year’s meet. She also ran her personal best with 20:23 over the 5,000-meter course and took 150th place out of the 508 women’s runners. "Lisa has been one of our top five runners all year long," Coach Don Glover said.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Sept. 24, 2001

Amy Nelson, (Fr., Cumberland, Wis.) placed third overall at Eau Claire. Her time was 20:01, which is the fastest time for a Falcon runner this year. Nelson has had great improvements with a 1:18.7 drop in time from the Lester Park Invitational held in Duluth two weekends ago.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Sept. 17, 2001

Lisa Traxler (Jr., Menomonie, Wis.) had a strong meet on Saturday against North Central and Concordia-St. Paul. Even though feeling sick, she chose to run, placing second and improving her time by 44 seconds. She finished fourth overall in 20:35 over the 5,000-meter course. Throughout this season, Traxler has shown great leadership skills, and has been a key element for the team’s success.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Sept. 10, 2001

Marlene Yaeger (Fr., Medina, Minn. Wayzata HS) was the top runner for the Falcons at the Lester Park Invitational held in Duluth on Saturday. She finished 32nd overall in a time of 21:14.1 over the 5,000-meter course. "She improved by 25 seconds over her time last weekend," coach Don Glover said. "She also held back to help the team."
