Falcon Men's Cross Country Runner of the Week

Oct. 15, 2001

Jason Charlton, (Fr., Woodbury, Minn.) had an good race at the Drews Invitational on Satuday. Charlton placed third for the Falcons in a time of 30:03.8 over the 8,000-meter course. He’s improved by six places from the beginning of the season. "Jason has improved greatly throughout the year and has a lot of potential," Coach Don Glover said.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Oct. 8, 2001

Adam Puhl, (So., Oshkosh, Wis. North HS) has steadily been improving his times all year. During this past weekend at the Midwest Challenge, Puhl placed 4th on the team and 78th overall with a time of 28:58 over the 8,000-meter course. "This is the first time he has broken 29 minutes during his career at River Falls," Coach Don Glover said.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Oct. 1, 2001

Pat Lorentz (Sr., Hastings, Minn.) placed third for the Falcons and he finished 206th overall. The Falcon captain had a time of 29:17 over the 8,000-meter course, and improved by 1:08 from last year’s Griak Invitational.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Sept. 24, 2001

Tyler Odden, ( So., Barronett, Wis. Cumberland HS) has improved his time by 20 seconds since the start of the season. Friday he finished in 17:14 putting him in fourth place overall. Odden has consistently been improving week to week. In Duluth two weeks ago, he had a time of 19:45.5 and brought his time down to 17:24 against Concordia last weekend.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Sept. 17, 2001

Erik Hanson (Jr., St. Croix Falls, Wis.) has placed first in two consecutive meets for the Falcons. Against Concordia, he not only improved his personal best by 1:03 over 5,000-meters, but he also helped lead the team to a first-place victory. He finished fourth overall in a time of 16:47.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Sept.10, 2001

Matt Hartwig (Jr., Little Falls, Minn.) finished in 29:41 over the 8,000-meter course at the Lester Park Invitational held in Duluth on Saturday. He was the second Falcon across the finish line and he finished 43rd overall. "Matt's time was 4:12 better than last year in the same race," coach Don Glover said. "He ran a super race."
