DetailsIn this course we will focus on the performance skills required to act in plays written in a non-realistic style or in a period very distant from our own. We will concentrate on doing period research, discovering the characteristics of various styles and adapting these styles in performance. Our focus will be on the theatrical assumptions governing different styles and the physical and vocal skills required to effectively present the material. Prerequisite: Junior standing or consent of the instructor. (Sp, alternate years)
