| | | Details | This course discusses the major themes and the problem-solving approaches used while surveying the role of information systems in today's businesses, the technical foundation for understanding information systems by examining hardware, software, databases, networking technologies, and tools and techniques for security and control. It also examines the core information systems applications businesses are using today to improve operational excellence and decision making. It also shows how to analyze and design information systems solutions to business problems. Prerequisite: SMGT 230; must be admitted to SMGT major or have Program Director consent on space available basis. (F, Sp, SS) |
