| | | Details | Theory and Methodology of TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) will introduce students to major trends in language teaching such as audiolingualism, Communicative Language Teaching, etc. In addition to the five skill areas--grammar, speaking, listening, reading, and writing--the course will deal with bilingualism, placement and diagnostic testing, and variables that influence language learning. 15 hours of field experience is required for TESOL education majors.
