DetailsThis is a writing intensive course designed to develop an understanding of psychological theories related to education. Six major areas of focus include: development, learning motivation, measurement and evaluation, classroom management, and individual differences. Students learn instructional application of each area through reading about, and discussing relevant theories. Students reflect on what they are learning through analyzing case studies, and through various in-class activities. Field Experience: Elem Ed = 10 hours, Sec Ed = 25 hours during the semester outside of lecture. Prerequisites: 2.5 GPA, sophomore standing, TED 120, or 155, or COMD 275, or P ED 161.
