| | | Details | This course provides students with entry level knowledge and skills appropriate for working in the diverse areas identified as child welfare including: physical/sexual abuse, neglect, adoption, foster/institutional care, juvenile court/corrections, as well as children who are at risk because of chemical abuse/dependency, poverty, divorce, discrimination, etc. It also covers many of the philosophical, political and ethical issues which are a challenge in child welfare policy and program development today.
