DetailsThis course is designed to acquaint the student with social welfare policy and social justice in the United States, the impact of that policy on program development and the manner in which needs of society are met or left unmet. It is further designed to help the student realize and practice the influence of social workers, and the steps necessary to implement such a change effort in policy/practice situations Prerequisites: SOWK 205, ECON 100, POLS 114 or consent of Social Work Program Director.
