DetailsStudents in this course will learn the theoretical frameworks, knowledge and skills necessary for working with minority populations as helping professionals. It will include specific content appropriate for practice with Native American, African American, Hispanic and Hmong persons as well as content on other minority populations including women; people who are gay, lesbian, or bisexual, as well as persons with disabilities. Although this course is taught from a social work perspective, it is appropriate for all students considering helping professions.(Sp)
