Details
Community-based health promotion and disease prevention are the focal points of this course. This course will emphasize using educational approaches to build the capacity of communities to create the conditions in which people can become empowered to improve their health and the health of their communities. Emphasis will be given to forging partnerships necessary to address community health problems. (15 hours Community Based Service Learning required) Prerequisite: HEAL 269. (F)
