| | | Details | This course will present to the student the basic theories of counseling. The intent of the course is to provide counseling students with a basic understanding of the major theories of counseling as well as specific skills for interviewing and counseling. Psychodynamic, Client-Centered, Existential, Cognitive, and Behavioral therapies are among those presented. Students will engage, as counselors, in four 30-minute sessions with a client. Prerequisite: COUN 610. |
