Details	Examination of the criminal phenomenon of gangs and their development in the United States. The course covers the historical aspects of gangs, the conditions which encourage them to form, the organization and activities of modern gangs, and efforts at prevention and control. Prerequisites: CJ202 and one of the following: SOCI 100, ANTH 100, PSYC 101, POLS 114, SOWK 150.
