DetailsThis course provides an introduction to the profession of music education as well as aesthetics and theories of learning as applied to public school music teaching. Recent history of the profession and its place in American education is covered. Topics include methods and materials for secondary vocal and instrumental music curricula, evaluative procedures, and pre-student teaching experiences in the public schools. Prerequisite: MUS 351 (Sp)
