Details	German classic and new wave film is examined for cultural, artistic, and linguistic merit. Films based on literary masterpieces of writers such as Schiller and T. Mann are studied as well as films created in the last 25 years by new wave directors Herzog, Wenders, and Schlondorff. Prerequisite: GERM 202. Co-listed as GERM 315. (F)
