Details
Students will gain instruction and practice in writing creative nonfiction essays. Writers will study both traditional and contemporary approaches to the essay. The course will provide opportunities to read and write narration, description, expository, argumentative, autobiographical essays, and the memoir. They will concentrate on developing their own style of writing and voice. Students will conclude the course with an essay of substantial length. Prerequisite: ENGL 251 and 262; junior standing.
