Details	This survey course examines the range of types and levels of books for adolescents along with understanding and interpretation of typical content and motifs. Evaluative criteria are developed in relation to reading levels, quality and pertinent issues (e.g, racism, sexism, censorship challenges). 15 hours of field experience required for English education/Broad Area English education majors. Prerequisite: Junior standing or consent of instructor (for undergraduate level). (Sp)
