| | | Details | This course is a continuation of CHEM 231. Nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy as a method for structure elucidation will be introduced. The typical reactions of alcohols, amines, aldehydes, ketones, aromatic compounds and carboxylic acids and their derivatives will be studied. A brief introduction to carbohydrates and proteins will be presented. Pre-requisite: A grade of C- or better in CHEM 231. (Sp, SS) |
