Interfaith Panel to Discuss Homophobia
The UW-River Falls University Committee on Lesbian, Gay and Bisexual Concerns will hold an interfaith panel to share information and personal perspectives on homosexuality and homophobia from Christian and non-Christian faith traditions. The panel will be held on Thursday, Sept. 18, from 7-8:30 p.m. in the Regents' Room of the Hagestad Student Center.
The moderator is Casey vanderBent, Campus Ministry Coordinator for the United Ministries in Higher Education.
Panelists include: Rabbi Sharon Stefoe, associate director of Hillel, the Jewish Student Center at the University of Minnesota; the Rev. Anita Hill; Yako Meyer, Outreach supervisor with the Minnesota American Indian AIDS Task Force; and the Rev. Brian Bagley-Bonner.
The panel is funded by a grant from the Otto Bremer Foundation.
