UW-River Falls Sets Alumni Weekend for July 23-24
UW-River Falls will honor several reunion classes July 23-24 during its 14th annual Alumni Weekend.
The reunion classes of 1939, '44, '49, '54, '59, '64 and '69 will be honored with a series of campus tours, events and presentations. The festivities kick off Friday, July 23 with a choice of video presentations on topics ranging from former astronaut and UW-RF graduate Dan Brandenstein's campus visit to a Kansas City Chiefs Highlight video.
A bus tour of the campus will depart from the Hagestad Student Center courtyard. Those touring will have the chance to see each of the 28 buildings on campus and see all the physical changes that have occurred. The tour will include stops at Laboratory Farm No. I, Ramer Field, and the Swinging Bridge.
Returning alumni will have the opportunity to walk across the swing bridge, enjoy a classic car display, or meet up with a favorite professor at a panel discussion of faculty emeriti.
In addition, a St. Croix Summer Theatre presentation of "You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown" will be take place at 8 p.m. on July 23.
There are numerous additional opportunities for spotlight tours throughout the weekend. These include a tour of the new College of Education & Graduates Studies Building, Food Science tour, greenhouse tour, as well a Swensen Sundial tour and a South Hall Open House.
