St. Croix Valley Sets 6th Annual Governors' Cruise
RIVER FALLS, WIS. --The St. Croix Valley Regional Tourism Alliance will hold its 6th annual Governors' Cruise on the Scenic St. Croix River Valley on Thursday, June 17. Twenty cities form the alliance with a mission to promote the St. Croix River Valley as a destination for visitors.
The cruise will begin in Stillwater, Minn., and will cruise the St. Croix Valley for approximately two and a half hours. Guests will get to ride on the beautiful paddlewheeler Andiamo Empress. Wisconsin Gov. Tommy Thompson and Minnesota Gov. Jesse Ventura have been invited to attend the cruise. Thompson has attended each of the five previous cruises.
The New Richmond Middle School Band will perform on the dock for entertainment before the cruise. While on the cruise guests will be entertained by the Spirit of Harmony Barbershop Quartet. There will be a short program where both governors have been invited to speak. Dinner will be served on board with a menu of roasted chicken or beef and parsley potatoes. There will also be a cash bar for drinks.
The cruise is open to all hospitality and tourism businesses. The cruise will board at 5:30 p.m. at the south end of Main Street in Stillwater. The Andiamo Empress will leave at 6 p.m. and return at approximately 8:30 p.m.

Main Street, Stillwater, MN 55082. The fee is $35 per person before June 9 or $50 after June 9 or at the dock. The check will confirm the reservation.
