UW-RF Dance Theatre to Present Spring Concert
The UW-River Falls Dance Theatre will present its annual spring concert in the Davis Theatre in the Kleinpell Fine Arts building on April 14-17. Each of the four performances will begin at 8 p.m.
The concert will offer a variety of dance styles including a high energy hip-hop dance choreographed by Torrion Amie and a Middle Eastern belly dance by Jocelyn Gorham. Both Amie and Gorham are UW-RF faculty members.
Dancers will perform the "Bomba," a traditional African/Caribbean dance, in authenti; senior Mary Aguilar, an art education from Frederic; junior Elizabeth Martinson, an elementary education major from Roseville, Minn.; junior Melissa Doyle, an English major from Coon Rapids, Minn.; sophomore Kari Goodman, a marketing communications major from Reedsburg,; and, sophomore Heather Mullinax, an elementary education major from Green Bay.
Tickets will be available April 12-16 at the ticket booth in the Kleinpell Fine Arts building from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. each day or two hours before each performance. Cost is $5 for adults and $3 for students and children.
