Commencement Set for May 19
Nearly 515 bachelor's and master's candidates will participate in commencement ceremonies at UW-River Falls on May 19.
The ceremony will begin at 2 p.m. in the Robert P. Knowles Physical Education and Recreation Center.
During the ceremony, an expected 450 undergraduates and 65 graduates will participate.
Delivering the commencement address will be senior Mike Kulstad, a broadcast journalism major from Red Wing, Minn. Kulstad was chosen to deliver the address from graduating seniors who participated in a faculty-judged selection process.
Kulstad is active in campus media, including radio station WRFW, the University cable channel, and he has participated in internships with the Minnesota Vikings and Minnesota Timberwolves. A 1992 graduate of Red Wing Central High School, he is the son of James and Carol Kulstad.
Conferring degrees will be Chancellor Gary A. Thibodeau, Provost and Vice Chancellor Robert Milam, Graduate School Dean Michael Reich, College of Agriculture Dean Gary Rohde, College of Arts & Sciences Dean Neal Prochnow, and College of Education Dean Kathleen Daly.
