English Professor Bob Beck Retiring

After 35 years of service to UW-River Falls and the community, English Professor Bob Beck is retiring.

Beck served for 15 years as director of freshman English, obtaining grants to start the Writing Center and to develop writing across the curriculum during that time.

He also served the community as Cub Scout Master in the early '80s and was an adviser to the Campus Ministry.

A luncheon and retirement program to honor him is set for Saturday, April 27, at the University Club in St. Paul. Students, faculty, staff--both current and former--and friends are welcome.

For more information or tickets, which are available through April 27, contact Marshall Toman, English Department, at 715/425-3124.
