UW-RF Concert Choirt to Preview International Tour Performance
The University of Wisconsin-River Falls Concert Choir presents its Pre-Tour concert on March 19, at 3 p.m. at the William Abbott Concert Hall, Kleinpell Fine Arts Building.
A suggested donation is $4 for adults and $1 for students and seniors. Proceeds from this concert will help defray the cost of students' International Tour to the Netherlands, March 23-April 3. Accompanying the choir are Patti Cudd, percussion; and Sue Lueneburg, piano and organ. Jacquie Kvaas, a sophomore biology major from Shoreview, Minn., will be the featured cellist in this concert and on tour.
Concert Choir members will be preview works they will perfor on tour: Bernstein's "Chichester Psalms;" "Out of the Deep" from John Rutter's "Requiem;" and Ariel Ramirez's "Misa Criolla", featuring freshmen Mike Reich, of Cameron. The other half of the program will be acappella masterpieces from the Renaissance to the 20th century. Chamber Singers, a smaller group from the Concert Choir membership, will also perform. Cudd and the New Music Ensemble, will be featured in a work they performed last semester.
