UW-River Falls Teacher Education Course Offers Field Experiences
A course to master the skills needed to direct a positive and successful field experience for student teachers and interns will be offered by the University of Wisconsin-River Falls on Wednesdays from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m., March 12 - May 14, at the Regional Development Institute on campus.
Participants in "Supervision of Field Experiences" will study the teaching, human relations, and assessment skills related to supervising student teachers. Discussions will focus on recent research and literature on rapport-building strategies and the need for continuous self-evaluation.
Instructor Dee McCollum is the director of field experiences in the College of Education and Professional Studies at UW-River Falls. The Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction will pay course tuition for educators who agree to supervise student teachers.
