UW-RF Students Perform in Symphonic Ensemble Tour

Some 38 students hit the road as part of the UW-River Falls Symphonic Wind Ensemble's annual traditional tour Dec. 7-8. The tour stopped at cities throughout Wisconsin, including Cumberland and Luck.

The ensemble, conducted by UW-RF music Professor Kristin Tjornehoj, is comprised of both music and non-music majors and is by audition only.

The concerts featured a work honoring civil rights heroine Rosa Parks, "A Movement for Rose," by Mark Camphouse. Also performed was "Incantation and Dance of the Ghosts" from "Ghost Dance," Tchaikovsky's "Dance of the Jesters" and Michel Richard de LaLande's "Concert des Trompettes."
