Spring Enrollment Remains Open
Admission remains open for the Spring Semester at UW-River Falls.
Admission Director Alan Tuchtenhagen says the University will continue to take freshmen and transfer student applications through the end of the first week of classes, Friday, Jan. 24.
Tuchtenhagen estimates the University will have room for up to 60 new freshmen and 175 transfer students as a result of the removal of enrollment caps by the University of Wisconsin System Board of Regents.
"We will have the capacity to take new freshmen who meet our admissions standards, and transfer students who are in good standing at their currently enrolled institution," Tuchtenhagen said.
New freshmen must meet standards of either scoring a 22 on the ACT test, or be in the top 40 percent of their high school graduating class and score an 18 ACT. Tuchtenhagen noted that the incoming first-year student admissions profile for the fall semester was near the top of the 13-campus University of Wisconsin System.
New student registration is set for Jan. 16, with classes beginning on Jan. 22.
