Ice Skating Lessons Offered at UWRF

Ice skating lessons, formerly through the Adventures In Learning Program, will again be offered at the UW-River Falls Hunt Arena.

All lessons will be offered on Wednesday evenings beginning Jan. 7 and running eight weeks. No class will be held Jan. 21. The classes are taught by Deann Bauer, who has been a skating instructor for 17 years. She has been a member of the Ice Skating Institute of America (ISIA) for 15 years, and is qualified for judging and testing.

Seven levels will be offered, ranging from "My First Skating Class" to "Freestyle." Costs range from $40 to $64.

The 11th annual ice show, "Broadway on Ice 1998," will be held March 15 at 2 p.m. in Hunt Arena. The show, set to music, will feature ice skating students of all ability levels in costume.

For more information or to register, contact the Conferences and Events Office at UW-RF at 715/425-4484, ext. 261. Registrations and payments are due one week prior to the first class.
