Ice Skating Lessons Offered At UW-River Falls

Ice skating lessons, formerly through the Adventures In Learning Program, will again be offered at the UW-River Falls Hunt Arena.
The classes are taught by Deann Bauer, who has been a skating instructor for 18 years. She has been a member of the Ice Skating Institute for 16 years, and is qualified for judging and testing.
Two classes, "My First Skating Lesson" and the "Beginning Adult," will run for six weeks on Sundays from Jan. 10 to March 7. Class times vary weekly and costs range from $30 to $48. There will be no class Jan. 17, Feb. 7 and Feb. 21.
All other lessons, ranging from pre-alpha to freestyle, will be offered on Wednesday evenings beginning Jan. 6 and running nine weeks. No class will be held Jan. 20. Six levels will be offered with costs ranging from $72 to $77.
The 12th annual ice show, "Skate Fever ''99," will be held March 21 at 2 p.m. in the UW-River Falls Hunt Arena. Set to music, the show will feature ice skating students of all ability levels in costume.
