Itıs a swinging good time in River Falls when the University Theatre and the UW-RF Jazz Ensemble combine to present a theatrical production of "The 1940's Radio Hour," a look back at the golden age of radio.
As members of a reasonably talented troupe of entertainers at a second-rate New York radio station, swingers Stephanie Briggs, a freshman from Cottage Grove, Minn., majoring in speech communication; Nathan Messina-Anderson, a freshman from Madison with a pre-major in social science; and Meghan Olson, a junior from Bloomer majoring in speech communiction, sing some of the best tunes from the Big Band era.
Performances are scheduled for Dec. 12 to 15, at 8 p.m. in the Blance Davis Theatre of the Kleinpell Fine Arts Building.
Tickets can be reserved or purchased at the theatre box office, 715/425-3114 or 800/228-5423.
