UW-RF Enrolls 5,844 Students for Fall
A total of 5,844 graduate and undergraduate students are enrolled at UW-River Falls for the fall semester.
The enrollment total is the second highest in the University's history and is three short of last year's record.
While the class is large, quality remains strong, according to Admissions Director Alan Tuchtenhagen.
"We are very pleased with the new students who enrolled this fall. They represent a wide variety of geographic areas and are among the best prepared students, academically, in the University's history," Tuchtenhagen said.
Here are some of the facts about this year's student body, which follow trends of previous years:
5,447 undergraduates and 397 graduate students.
1,101 new freshmen.
321 transfer students.
61.5 percent female.
The most popular majors, in order, are business/accounting; elementary education; animal science; biology; health and human performance; marketing communications; psychology; computer science; pre-veterinary science; and art.
