UW-RF Sets Intern/Hiring Career Fair
Some 125 Midwest employers will be attending the University of Wisconsin-River Falls campus-wide career fair on Tuesday, Oct. 19.
This is the 9th annual career fair being sponsored by the University's career services office. Some 1,000 students are expected to attend, according to UW-RF career services counselor Lisa Kramer.
Karges Center, the campus gymnasium, will house 100 employers from 10 a.m.-3 p.m.who are seeking to recruit interns and permanent employees. Occupational areas being represented range from animal science, food processing, education, government, law enforcement, financial institutions, non-profit organizations, retail sales, manufacturing and marketing communications.
In addition, a career walk-thru workshop will be held, with 25 employers conducting mock interviews for students from 9 a.m.-3:30 p.m. in the Hagestad Student Center.
Along with the career fair, career services will be launching a contuining education fair for students who are interested in attending graudate school. Twelve educational agencies will be at informational booths to answer questions.
