Top Ranking Israeli Army Officer to Speak at UW-River Falls
The highest ranking woman officer of the Israeli Army will give two seminars at UW-River Falls on Monday, Nov. 3.
Lt. Gen. Orit Adato is the commissioner of the Israel Prison Service and serves actively with the International Prisons and Corrections Association. She is the first woman to hold this position.
She is a member of the Israeli Prime Minister's committee for the advancement of women in society and has appeared before the United Nations to speak for women's rights.
Her keynote presentation, titled "Women in Israeli Society," will be in the Blue Room of Rodli Commons at 7 p.m. She will also give an informal brown bag lunch seminar in room 353 of Kleinpell Fine Arts at 11:30 a.m.
