UW-RF Sponsors Silent Art Auction for Terrorism Victims

The art department at UW-River Falls will host a silent art auction to raise money in response to the terrorist attacks of Sept. 11. The auction will take place at Gallery 101 in the Kleinpell Fine Arts building on campus, Wednesday and Thursday, Oct. 24 and 25.

Art for the auction will be donated by current and former students, faculty and emeriti, and artists from the community. Proceeds will be donated to the American Red Cross, which has guaranteed that all the money raised will be used to assist the victims in New York City.

Bids will be accepted Oct. 24 and 25 from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., and highest bidders will be notified by phone or e-mail on Friday, Oct. 26. Purchased artwork may be picked up on Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.
