UW-RF Sets Grant Workshop for Rice Lake

An "Acquiring Grant Funds Through Cooperation and Collaboration" workshop will be held on Nov. 6 from 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the Wisconsin Indianhead Technical Center in Rice Lake, Wis.

Participants will gain information on over 200,000 grants worth $10,000 or more. They will also discover new views used by foundations and other reviewing grant suggestions. The workshop will enable participants to exchange grant plans, seek others to partner with for grants and learn about the formation of a regional foundation. Deborah Fugenschuh, executive director of the donors forum of Wisconsin, and Karen Gotzler, project manager of Wisconsin Giving, will be the program speakers.

A CD Rom outlining grant opportunities will be demonstrated and available for viewing.

There is no charge for the workshop and a meal will be provided.

The workshop will be conducted by the University of Wisconsin-River Falls, the Cooperative Educational Service Agency No.11, Servite Center For Life, New Paradigm Partners Inc, Youth Press, and the Marshfield Medical Research and Education Foundation.

The workshop is being underwritten by the W.K. Kellogg Foundation through its "Managing Information With Rural America Program."

To register for the workshop call Marge McGee at 715/986-2020.
