Croix Chordsmen Chorus Donate $500 to UW-RF Music Department
Two members of the Croix Chordsmen barbershop chorus presented a check for $500 to the UW-River Falls music department to help promote the male chorus on campus. Jim Hall (seated), director of the chorus, presented the check to Assistant Professor Sarah Parks from the UW-RF music department (center), accompanied by Loren Paulson, a member of the chorus. Members of the UW-RF Menšs Chorus in attendance to express their appreciation included (standing) Bradley Wilkinson, a senior majoring in broad area music from Black Creek, Wis.; Michael Cain, a junior majoring in broad area music from Osceola, Wis.; Cordell Wesselink, a sophomore majoring in speech communication from Beldenville, Wis.; Michael Reich, a sophomore majoring in broad area music from Cameron, Wis.; John Severson, a junior majoring in speech communication from Oakdale, Minn.; and Kyle Weaver, a sophomore majoring in social science from Spooner, Wis. Parks said she will use the money to purchase barbershop music and to take the chorus to area schools to perform. The Croix Chordsmen chorus is 50 years old this year.
