Free Business Advising Offered Aug. 5
Free business advising conferences offering specialized assistance to business managers and entrepreneurs will be Thursday, Aug. 5 at the Polk County Extension Office in Balsam Lake.
The free sessions are sponsored by the Polk County UW-Extension Office the UW-River Falls Small Business Development Center (SBDC).
Sessions are suitable for anyone who would like to discuss plans for starting or expanding a business or who has problems in any area of business management.
Individual appointments, approximately 75 minutes in length, will be scheduled from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Polk County Extension Office in Balsam Lake. To register, please contact the UW-River Falls SBDC at 715-425-0620 by Wednesday, Aug. 4.
More than 300 managers of prospective and existing small business firms have been served in Pierce, Polk and St. Croix counties through the SBDC. Participants represent a variety of manufacturing, retailing and service companies, as well as many entrepreneurs wishing to start new businesses.
