UW-RF Physics Honor Society Inducts New Members
Eight new members were recently inducted into the UW-River Falls chapter of the national physics honor society, Sigma Pi Sigma.
The new inductees are: Katherine Culver, a junior from Maple Grove, Minn., who is a broad field science major; Andrew Hoernemann, a sophomore from Glencoe, Minn., who is a mathematics major; James Koch, a sophomore from Wausau, Wis., who is a broad field science major; Arriety Lowell, a sophomore from River Falls who is a physics major; Brandon Rice, a sophomore from Vadnais Heights, Minn., who is a physics major; Terry Schwaller, a junior from Rochester, Minn., who is a broad field science major; Angela Thomley, a sophomore from River Falls who is a physics major; and Hans Umhoefer, a junior from Rothschild, Wis., who is a physics major.
Membership in Sigma Pi Sigma is a life-long honor. Members are admitted based on high scholastic achievement, interest in physics, ability and outstanding success in physics courses. The UW-River Falls chapter, which began in 1975, now totals 255 members
