Barron New Site for Summer TESOL Class

The "TESOL for Specific Purposes" class, offered this summer at UW-River Falls for people interested in teaching English to speakers of other languages, will be conducted both at the University and via interactive television in Barron, beginning Monday, June 16.

The tutor-training classes will be held daily from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. for two weeks. Participan

ts who successfully complete the tutor-training course may register for field experience tutoring non-English-speaking workers employed in local businesses. The UW-RF Workplace English as a Second Language program, which offers the class, is also hosting a conference for area employers and community leaders on managing diversity in their workplaces and communities on Wednesday, June 4.
