UW-River Falls Outreach Studies Offers New Classes for Seniors
The UW-River Falls Outreach Office announces Senior Outreach Studies Session IV classes beginning on Tuesday, April 20 and Thursday, April 22. These classes are open to all senior citizens ages 55 years and older.
Classes meet from 9 to 11 a.m. for four consecutive Tuesdays or Thursdays in the President's Room of the Student Center. Each class consists of a presentation, coffee break and discussion period.
The Tuesday session is "You, Your Community and Modern-Day Issues." This session will address current issues appearing in both national media and local communities. The presenters will discuss a topic related to their field of expertise or interest. Scheduled topics and presenters for the Tuesday sessions are:
The Thursday session is the popular "Morning with a Professor." This series gives the opportunity for seniors to hear new and returning speakers. Scheduled topics and presenters are:
Senior Outreach Studies members will receive information by mail. Annual membership is $10. Member cost for each four-session class is $14.50. For a non-member, the cost is $21 per four-session class.
