Arab-Israeli Conflict Topic of April 2 Lecture

A lecture about the history and ongoing Israeli-Arab conflict in the Middle East will be presented at UW-River Falls on April 2.

Dr. Steve Derfler will deliver a lecture, "Israeli Arab Conflict: A Twice Promised Land, 100 Years of War," on April 2 from 7-9 p.m., in the Blue Room of Rodli Commons on the UW-River Falls Campus.

The lecture will address the myths and facts, perceptions and misperceptions, that have shaped our understanding of the history of the Arab Israeli conflict. It will trace the historical rise of two legitimate nationalisms in their quest for recognition into the 21st century. The forum is free and open to the public. It is part of the series of forums that the University has sponsored in response to the events of September 11th.
