UW-RF Offers Historical New England Tour
Visit New England this summer and earn graduate or undergraduate credits by participating in the UW-River Falls Colonial Study Tour. The two-week trip to Boston, New York, Philadelphia, and Washington, D.C., will be guided by UW-RF history Professor David Riggs.
The group will depart River Falls on June 20, travel by luxury tour bus, and stay at area hotels before returning on July 4.
Tour highlights include visits to a re-creation of the Mayflower, the U.S.S. Constitution, the Statue of Liberty, the World Trade Center site, Wall Street, the newly opened World War II Memorial, and the Supreme Court.
The tour's cost with two credits is $1,250 plus graduate or undergraduate tuition. Those not interested in earning college credit will pay $1,400. Transportation, lodging and entrance fees are included, but food is not. Because of a limited number of seats, a $250 non-refundable deposit is due by the registration deadline on May 1. Remaining tour fees are due no later than June 1.
All participants seeking credit need to apply and meet the minimum requirements for undergraduate or graduate study at UW-River Falls before registering for the tour. Call the UW-RF Outreach and Graduate Studies Office at 715/425-3256 or 800-228-5607 for application and registration forms. For more information about the tour, contact the instructor at firstname.lastname@example.org or 715/425-3164.
