Poet Lee Ann Roripaugh to Read at UW-RF

Award-winning poet Lee Ann Roripaugh will read her work on Friday, March 15, at 3:30 p.m. in the Breezeway of the Chalmer Davee Library on the campus of UW-River Falls. Her visit is co-sponsored by the UW-RF Women's Studies Program and English department, in recognition of Women's History Month 2002.

Roripaugh won the National Poetry Series award with her first volume of poetry, "Beyond Heart Mountain," and was a finalist for the 2000 Asian-American Literary Awards. She also won the 1995 Randall Jarrell International Poetry Prize, as well as an AWP Intro Award and an Academy of American Poets Prize.

Her poetry has appeared in numerous journals and anthologies, including "Ploughshares," "Parnassus," "New England Review" and "Crab Orchard Review." For more information, contact Professor Jenny Brantley at 715/425-3537.
