Kyle Jero

I came to UW-River Falls as a Physics major trying to graduate with honors, and have since decided to bump my Mathematics minor into a major.  When not working or attending classes I enjoy going for walks, reading old science fiction, disc golfing, and spending time with my friends.  However, much of my time lately has been taken up planning for my wedding.

I started working with the IceCube project when I began college two years ago.  Since then I have spent a summer in Sweden on the bubble camera system that will be deployed in the ice at Antarctica, assisted in the preparation of an IceTop tank for the Oden Cruise, and helped two year students conduct research on various IceCube topics during a summer stay at UW-River Falls. I will also be traveling on the Oden during the last leg of its voyage from McMurdo Station, Antarctica to Punta Arenas, Chile.

I have not set an exact time for my graduation, but once I complete my Undergraduate degree at UW-River Falls, I plan to attend Graduate school in pursuit of a PhD. An institution involved with IceCube would be preferred, but I will look into any institution that is involved with high energy particle physics.
